President Tuxedo

We had a very unsatisfactory experience working with President's Tuxedo in Sterling Heights for our wedding in July 2011. We ended up with so many errors and issues in the end that I know that I will not be using them again in the future nor will any one from our bridal party. It began when there was an error in communication about who was responsible for payment of bow ties (they claimed the groom was paying for them but the groom had clearly stated that he was having the bridal party purchase their own). They then continued to ask for full payment from three of our bridal party members ahead of time instead of offering to take 50% which is what they told the groom when he met with them in an initial meeting. Luckily TWO days before the wedding, everyone picked up their tuxes only to discover that everyone had to take them back because they had been given white NOT ivory shirts. A really huge mistake. There was no manager on staff that day and the salesmen could not do anything to compensate us for the mistakes that had been made on our orders. They did get us the ivory shirts but failed to notice that one of our groomsmen had ordered a shirt for purchase and gave him a rented shirt instead. Another groomsman was missing the black buttons for his shirt. The father of the bride never got his rented shoes that he ordered but by the time we noticed it was too late and he just wore his own pair. I was thoroughly disappointed and angered with the customer service and the way that our order was dealt with. I would NOT recommend using this vendor for your wedding party.

We went to the President Tuxedo in Ann Arbor. Our wedding color theme is capri and cornflower, and President Tuxedo has the best matching colors for capri and cornflower compared to other tux rental places. The people working there were extremely friendly, warm and obliging. They were very eager to help us in every aspect. Their tuxes arrived on time and were in great condition. We had a great experience with the President Tuxedo in Ann Arbor.

I had a hard time deciding what I wanted my groomsmen to wear and unfortunately my husband wasn't too interested in really what the guys were going to wear. The salesgirl at the Lakeside was so helpful in picking out an alternate color that matched my girls so good. There is always promotions and my husband got his tux free while all the guys got $40 dollars off there rental.

We were able to get a really good deal through President. They were easy to work with and the tuxes looked great. For some reason, though, the fit was off on nearly all the groomsmens' shirts and shoes. Luckily this didn't effect the photos, but should be a heads up for anyone considering President. Also, the shirts are made of synthetic fabric that doesnt breathe at all. Our wedding was in a warm church in the summer; unfortunately one of groomsmen actually fainted. The shirts should be fine for winter/fall/spring but if you are using them in summer, MAKE SURE the AC is pumping for the guys.

President Tuxedo was a great choice for my groom and his groomsmen as well as fathers tuxedo's. Everyone of them had all the proper pieces in their bags pressed and ready to wear. I was very pleased with them as they were accomadating to all demands for all the guys tux's. I would fully reccommend them to all the groom's trying to find their tux's.

I was overall pretty happy with these guys. Even though they gave us a deal from the bridal expo, it still was around the same price as all other tuxs. But my husband got exactly the tux he wanted and they were good about contacting us.

We used Presidents because of their various location in Metro Detroit. Although most people didn't have many problems, it always takes forever there because at least at the 12 Oaks location, they never have enough people working. Additionally, the out of town groomsmen sent in his measurements via their websight and they never got them. He had to call and give them again.

tuxs fell apart, hems cam undone, blood on the shirts and they blamed us.

My husband and my father looked absolutely amazing!! But this review is mostly to thank them for what they did with my father. My husband looked great, of course, but my father?? My father is our resident 'Handy Man". He fixes, he builds, he paints....he's almost always covered in oil or aluminum dust. I've never, EVER seen him in a suit...so just imagine what I saw when President Tuxedo got him into a TUX??! He was almost as handsome as my husband that day. Thank you for dressing the two finest men in my life, with the finest of clothing!

They were really nice and helpful. They ordered two tuxes for my husband to try on before he decided so that he can easily decide which one he liked the best. I took of .5 in Responsiveness because at times they are very understaffed in this office.

We got tuxes for our wedding here (we went to the Somerset store). I went with my husband and BIL to pick out tuxes, the girl who was helping us wasn't very knowledgeable and very slow. We found a tux we liked so we decided to book them. After that point we worked with different sales people and they were all much better. The tuxes showed up on schedule and just as ordered. My BIL's pants were way too short, but they fixed that with plenty of time before the wedding. Overall, we had a pretty good experience.

They were very friendly and helpful. They didn't rush us to make a decision.

THe guys looked sharp! We signed up to go with President Tuxedo at a wedding show and got an awesome deal! Nice quality tux's.

All in all, they were good to us. We had some tuxes that were a little too big for the men, but they looked great. Due to a location wedding, they were great about letting us pick them up early and drop them off late. They are a little pricey, but all in all, great.

We got ALL our guys in the absolute sharpest champagne-colored (tan for our beach wedding) tuxes that (at the time) weren't available ANYwhere else! Their employees level of professionalism & willing-ness to help was absolutely fabulous!! We choose them (over 30 minutes from us & our wedding venues) of ALL the 'other' tuxedo rental shops because we were just absolutely amazed by the quality of product & service that we got from talking with them! We got an incredible deal on ALL 10 of our rental tuxedos & accesories, including the matching ringbearer's tux at an outstandingly great price! We went to a bridal show in downtown Grand Rapids where they had a booth... just so happened to have a model tux out that was exactly what we've been looking for, for a LONG time! At that time, tan/cream-colored tuxes were hard to come by. When you register your events outfits with them at the bridal show & put like a $20-$25 dollar refundable deposit down... that gets you down into the most incredible deal they have all year round, which is 50% off all outfits & accesories for everyone & free for groom & ringbearer & free invitations! Our tuxes were valued at retail: $180 to rent normally & we got ours for $90 per person! That's just outstanding! All our groomsmen & family thanked us SO much because they were in the the newest season line of tuxes & trendiest outfits & they got to choose the thinner & more comfortable microfiber white shirts that keep you cool on a hot summer day, & were the cheapiest prices they've ALL ever paid for in all the weddings they were in! Thanks Presidential Tuxedo! Everyone just absolutely LOVED the look of our wedding! My men looked STUNNING!

My husband waited until the very last minute for his tux and we were able to get everything he needed fast and without hassle.

Very up and down - we had a lot of problems and some employees were very willing to help.... others not. Make sure you get someone who looks like they're happy to be there and you'll be treated well.

Wonderful people to work with, they took care of everything and made everything so easy even ordering size 1t tuxedos for our ringbearers! Everything was in on schedule with no hassles!

We actually registered at Oakland Mall but everyone picked their tuxedo's up at several locations. They were great to work with! Even two days before our wedding my husband changed his mind about what jacket to wear. They were able to bring in the alternative for him the day of the wedding. We will always use President Tuxedo for tux rentals.
