We loved the cupcakes that were done for our wedding by Lakes Cakes! We received so many compliments on them. They were great to work with from the tasting up to the wedding day!

Lakes Cakes did an absolutely wonderful job. The cake was beautiful and delicious. What I loved about them from the start was their responsiveness, they were always quick to return my calls or emails. They always made me feel like they truly cared about my wedding and that I wasn't just another "job". Her passion for her work shows in her commitment to her customers and the quality of the cakes! Heidi is very professional and her cakes are delicious. She personally set up my cake the day of my wedding and made sure it was perfect. After I had changed my mind a few times, and finally decided I wanted a cake inspired by my dress, Heidi without hesitation, began to design a gorgeous cake and it even had buttons going down the back! She and her husband are very nice to work with, and are very honest. The cake, frosting and fillings were all wonderful and I really enjoyed the red velvet cake. I would hire Lakes Cakes again, and I am looking forward to our one year anniversary cake!

Lakes Cakes did an absolutly AMAZING job with our wedding cake!! It was a 4 tier square cake with buttercream frosting. They allowed us to have different flavors in each cake at no additional cost, we had yellow, red velvet and chocolate. We had SO many people compliment about the cake, the visual apperance as well as the taste. The first time I saw it I was stunned and actually stopped for a moment dead in my tracks because it was so much better than I imagined. I would not recommend anyone else! Lakes Cakes went above and beyond what I had expected them to do and left so many people impressed. They were also very nice people to work with and extrememly easy going. They didnt nickel and dime you with extra costs and were VERY reasonable, especially for the quality they put out. If I were to have my wedding again I wouldnt think twice about who would be making our wedding cake...it would definatly be Lakes Cakes!!

It seems that Lakes Cakes slices are larger than "standard" slices, yet they were the most affordable baker I checked into. You can add fresh fruit and mouse filling for a very small additional cost (which I highly recommend). They have a great selection of flavors and their frosting was not too sweet and tasted lighter than others I've had. I typically don't like cake very much, but I really enjoyed ours! Overall, we were very pleased and our cake turned out perfect! Thanks Lakes Cakes :)

Working with Heidi was a great experience. The cake was amazing both in taste and appearance and they were so very accomodating as far as design. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!

Lakes Cakes was amazing! The value was *unbeatable* - we looked at five different cake bakers and nobody's prices beat Lakes Cakes. They even threw in a small six-inch gluten/dairy-free cake for FREE for our guests with food allergies. As for the cake design, they did exactly what I asked. I designed a pattern and wanted them to duplicate it in frosting and they did a great job. The coral frosting I requested was definitely redder than I anticipated, but that is my only complaint about the whole experience. :)Everyone loved the flavors of the cake (we got spice cake with whipped cream, white cake with vanilla buttercream, and chocolate cake with chocolate and peanut butter mousse). We ended up ordering about 50 servings more than we needed (a lot of our invited guests didn't come), with the result that we *still* have some leftover cake now, a whole month after our wedding. And guess what? It still tastes delicious a month later, after being frozen and rethawed. :) We're excited to get our FREE anniversary cake in 11 months!

I would recommend Lakes Cakes to any future brides. Heidi and Greg are awesome to work with and very easy going. They made the whole process of picking out a cake very stress free and were open to any ideas we had. Everything ran smoothly on the wedding day and our caked looked and tasted fantastic. They are also very reasonably priced for their product.

The cake was the freshest wedding cake I've ever had. My guests are still talking about how wonderful it tasted and how beautiful it was. I gave Heidi a picture of a cake I saw that I loved and it looked exactly like it! It was wonderful and I highly recommend them!

Heidi and Greg are awesome! Our wedding cake was beautiful and they worked with us to stay in our budget by using fresh flowers that we provided and extra 'kitchen cakes'. The cake was also moist and delicious, the lemon is my favorite! Next time someone gets married in my family, I'm sending them straight to Lakes Cakes!
