La Corda String Ensembles

We hired the string quartet for our July 30th wedding ceremony and could not of been happier with their performance. They played all of the music flawlessly and really made the ceremony unique. We had a number of guests compliment us on how beautiful the music was. Their large repertoire of music was very helpful since we wanted to stray away from some of the more traditional ceremony music. George was extremely helpful and attentive to what we wanted. He made the whole experience easy for us and I had complete confidence in the La Corda throughout the entire process. We hired a string trio for our outdoor wedding ceremony. Our playlist was rather unconventional as I tried to avoid ceremony music cliche. However, it was not difficult to program it due to their wide range of repertoire. I have pretty high standards when it comes to classical music as I studied and performed music in college. They played very professionally and beautifully and we heard many good comments about ceremony music from our guests. A bonus, we can now tell people that we hired an ensemble who played at Eminem's wedding!

We had a String Trio for our wedding ceremony!I never spoke directly with George, But my Husband always said great things about him and how nice he was!The music was beautiful and made our wedding day even more special!They even played our Stevie Wonder song (small extra charge but Worth Every cent)These Musicians are very talented and proffessional!They even look Great in our photos! :DThank you La Corda for being a part of our Special day!!!

We hire La Corda Ensemble to perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour following the ceremony. They made it completely effortless! They were very professional and very talented. The live music added so much to the the day and it was nice to pick a few of our favorite songs to hear ('sunshine of my life'). I would highly recommend La Corda Ensemble!!

I can't say enough "good things" about La Corda! At first, I didn't believe I could afford a String Trio on my budget, let alone have them play for a whole hour! George is a doll to work with! He made planning the music so easy. My guests were so impressed. I am so glad I went with La Corda!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about LaCorda! I hired LaCorda as a string quartet to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. George was an enormous help! He walked me though the entire ceremony and explained every aspect of it thoroughly. If it weren't for him I wouldn't have been able to design my programs in a timely manner! The music flowed seamlessly during the ceremony. It was absolute perfection! Playing during cocktail hour was the icing on the cake. It was exactly what was needed! Having a string trio play at our wedding was an absolute must and we couldn't be happier that we found La Corda. George had such great suggestions and advice which made planning the music so simple. He also made a recommendation for a vocalist for our responsorial psalms which took a huge stress off of our to-do list. The music at our ceremony was absolutely breathtaking. I will never forget how it felt to be standing at the alter as they played. It was magical and I can't thank La Corda and George enough for making that moment so special.

We hired a trio from La Corda for our wedding in Kellogg Park on 18 Sept after having another group back out on us about three weeks before our wedding. George, and his group were professional and the quality of the music was outstanding. I am a musician myself, and have worked with many musicians, and not only would I recommend them, but would not hesitate hiring them again. LaCorda made our day even more special.

I had the string quartet for my ceremony and cocktail hour and they were wonderful!! So many guests came up to me and my parents and commented on how beautiful it was and how much the gorgeous music added to the wedding. George was great to work with; he was very flexible and accommodating. I had two singers perform a song that had to be changed to a different key and George did the extra work to make that possible. They also came early to practice with my singers before the ceremony so that everything would go smoothly. I'm very, very happy with the level of professionalism and incredible talent!

I had a duet play for my outdoor afternoon wedding and they were amazing! It was so worth it to hire real musicians as opposed to playing music through a stereo and speakers. It just added that extra special touch and it sounded absolutely beautiful. The gentleman, George, who runs the show is also very pleasant and easy to work with. Everyone here has a ton of experience and they don't hire otherwise. You have to be a top notch musician to play for La Corda! Thank you, La Corda!

La Corda was great. Our point person, George, was extremely helpful and always quick to respond. The musicians were very talented, and looked professional in black tuxes. Perfect.

If I had to credit the perfection of my wedding ceremony to something (other than my closest friend singing), La Corda would be it. I hired the String Trio for my wedding, and they were phenomenol.Now trust me on this one when I say that I shopped around for my ceremony musicians. I contacted every professional string quartet in the lower peninsula of Michigan, and I even looked at student musicians at a renowned University (as so many wedding guides suggested.) One thing I discovered: it is hard to find good talent. And then I came across La Corda.What I heard on their website is exactly what I got. (I totally recommend asking for George, he is the best!!!) They had a lot of music to choose from (just about every wedding song you can imagine). George had also done a lot of Catholic weddings, so he knew every part of the Catholic mass. He actually walked me through all of the music for the ceremony (including the psalms, Ave Maria, responses...) They also played along with the church organist for the Bridal March and it really seemed as if they had been playing together for years!I also had a singer for the ceremony, and George came earlier to the ceremony so that she could practice the songs with the String Trio. La Corda played not just the prelude music and the processionals and recessionals, but all of the Catholic music too. They also learned new songs that were not part of their repertoire. How many string ensembles do that? Not very many, I can tell you that.La Corda was a little bit more than other string ensembles, but please trust me when I say you get professionalism and talent. The ceremony can hit or miss with guests, and everyone has told me my ceremony was the most beautiful they had ever been too (I understand most would say that to the bride, but I have some pretty truthful friends.) My word of advice: don't skimp on the ceremony music... it really does set the atmosphere.
