I have been reading below comments, and i have a mixed feeling. i Saw this on TV and felt like it would be a benefit for me to take this class. I have met with Jenn she gave me all needed answers to convince me this will be a good class for me. Did not experienced any major issues, i did have hard time at first and i see how this could be overwhelming at first. After class Jenn took time to go over some of the sequences. Next class she took the measurments, but did not have time to answer any questions after class. Class after that i felt no question needed. Over all after my classes were over i lost 18lb. My goal was 30lb. I felt i wanted to share this with all that maybe in the pest she had some issues. Last bootcamp i was there and things were just fine. Keep up hard work, I know that running your own business is not an easy job. I am a business woman and fully understand. Anna

What ever happened to taking personal responsibility for yourself??!! I have been taking Jenn's boot camp since September, and have lost close to 40 lbs. If there was ever a time I didn't show up for class, Jenn would call or text me to get me back on track. I know I am among MANY when I say that Jenn goes over and beyond the duties of your average trainer. Are we forgetting that we are all human? If she's late, then she makes sure to have an EXPERIENCED trainer there with a backup plan. Her classes alone are high energy, and I never walk out feeling disappointed or less than drenched. I don't think that comments of Jenn being a "ditz" are appropriate. If she's giving you results, that's all you have to worry about. I give Jenn so much credit for running her very large business AND TEACHING the MAJORITY of her classes. Honestly, the majority of you sound like Bridezillas even Godzilla wouldn't stand to be around.

I was desperate to find a program that both held me personally accountable, and pushed me to my limits. I heard great things about Jennifer Gray from several different vendors, and I immediately signed up with three months to go until my wedding date. After the first bootcamp class, I realized two things; 1. How out of shape I really was, and 2. How much fun this class was. I am not a competitive person, but i was determined to make it through a Body By Jenn bootcamp by competing against myself. The wonderful thing about this class, besides the AMAZING music and the energy radiating from Jenn, is that there is an immediate feeling of support coming from other members working towards similar goals. I am discouraged fairly easy, and when I didn't' show for two bootcamp classes, Jenn called me up on the phone. That phone call immediately gave me the extra push I needed to rise above my little self-pitty party and jump back into action. This program definitely does not lack support, and I was down several dress sizes by the time my wedding came around. I will definitely be back after my honeymoon....

All the boot camps that Jenn has over-priced and not at all what she claims they will be. 1. She is ALWAYS late, at least 10 minutes. But if she has a different trainer cover the class, he will start on time and harass you if you arrive 2 minutes late. 2. No follow-up on your meal log as promised. 3. No follow-up measurements as promised. 4. Jenn does not teach you anything. IF you can follow what she is doing in class, as I was able to, good for you. But many students could not follow and I could see they were totally wasting their money. 5. If she says, don't worry that we didn't do abs today, we will do them next time, do not believe her. She never does what she says she will. 6. The only personal attention you will get from her is when your class is coming close to an end and she will hound you to sign up again.

As others have said, what you are promised on the website and even the orientation is not at all what you get. You do not get feedback on your food logs, unless you count Jen interrupting you in the middle of a run to talk to you about your food log. She is a good trainer and her workouts are challenging, but she is disorganized and unprofessional. She often complains to bootcampers about her employees and/or other bootcampers. She has great trainers who have been more diligent about feedback that she, but they usually don't stay with her long, I'm guessing because they quickly get a sense of her unprofessional nature and disorganization. http://mibootcamps.com/ is a far better option.

As others have commented, this is NOT at all what is promised from ads and her website. First of all, the information provided on the website (and emails once you sign up) have wrong dates, times, etc. and for someone who puts themselves out there for being so strict on attendance & punctuality, you'd think she & the trainers would "walk the walk" but they don't. On the first day, the trainer did not come prepared to weigh & measure, 2/3 of my class had missed the orientation (due to reasons above) so we were all lost & even though we showed up a 1/2 hour early... the class time was also posted wrong & turns out we showed up "on time". No shirts were given out and I discovered that the students in the class were a wide variety of women who had been in the camp for several weeks & some beginners... and what was promised as far as matching up in groups according to your physical abilities, goals, etc. did not happen. We just jumped right in to exercises. The trainer did not (& continues to not) help the newer folks get acclimated with the routines, names of exercises, etc. They just assume you know what they mean. They could do a much better job of working with the new students... I imagine several women drop out in the first week. I know 2-3 from the first class I went to are no longer coming. The facilities that these boot camps are in vary significantly... just go visit the West Bloomfield facility and then the Royal Oak facility and you can see they are as different as night & day. We have yet to pull out the boxing gloves that were required to purchase ($30) and we're 1/3 of the way through my camp. So far the workouts themselves are pretty grueling, so at least we are getting that much... but overall there is much room for improvement in the professionalism of this organization... the website, consistency, preparedness and expectation-setting by the trainers. Get on the ball Jenn! Focus a bit more on improving your current program & less on selling supplements / protocols or whatever you're calling them.

here is the list of issues which, I think, justify my request for a refund: 1. The terms of the contract are not being fulfilled: a. The body fat measurements were never taken, nor are being monitored b. I was only weighted in once c. My progress is not being measured or monitored d. The dietary requirements of the program are note being monitored e. I've received the program t-shirt weeks after starting f. The workout program itself is hardly challenging, and so far has been at best on par with complimentary classes offered at commercial main-stream gyms. g. No one from the program has made an attempt to contact me personally to talk about my goals and/or progress 2. Every attempt to contact Jennifer Gray ended up badly 3. I was taken advantage of, when my credit card was used to order over $600 worth of "Juice Plus" dietary supplements. While I was able to return the unwanted products, I was still faced with inconvenience of dealing with Juice Plus and spend time and effort in re-packing and returning the merchandise. Not to mention dealing with the unpleasant surprise of finding out that soemone has decided to spend $600 of my hard earned money for me. 4. In the initial weeks of the program, I was able to establish a bond with the original trainer, just to find out that she was removed for no other apparent reason then her attempts to help the clients to deal with situations similar to mine 5. All of the above causes me to go to the class with the scene of great resentment and the feeling that I am not getting the service I was promised and signed up for. Instead, I go in not to achieve a better physical condition but just not have a feeling that I've wasted my money which, in turn, does not provide the proper motivation to accomplish my original goals for the class. I honestly just would like to leave this situation resolved without leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I would like a refund and put this experience behind me. With the date of my wedding fast approaching and its stress of deadlines for a meriad of vendors, things, activies, and service, you can surely understand my desire to put this experience behind me as soon and with as little hassle as possible.

I signed up for Jenn's class after meeting her at Channel 7's Bridal Show taping. I really wanted to lose weight for my wedding and it seemed like a comprehensive program. I wrestled with spending so much on the program, but I signed up and bought myself a pair of boxing gloves. I have to say, the actual work-outs themselves were great. I especially liked the ones with Dan Jett, Jenn's fiance. He was very encouraging and also tough enough so it felt like a workout/bootcamp. He pushed you hard and really seemed to care about the progress of the campers. Unfortunately, I spent most of my time venting my frustrations with the class on the bag, which should not have been my motivation. There were several reasons why I didn't like this boot camp: -Jenn was almost always late for class, if she showed up at all. Of the 12 week, 3 days a week sessions, she was at maybe half of them, and that could be a stretch. I felt much closer to some of the other trainers (who were removed from the program because they differed in view from Jenn) who maybe had only been there a few times, but really wanted you to work to your fullest potential. -There were several times when she had to cancel classes at other facilities because of a lack of a trainer. One time, she was supposed to cover for one of them and she forgot and had to leave our class to go work with them. -She seemed to care more about selling Juice Plus than the success of campers. If you succeeded, then it was because of the Juice Plus, if you failed, it was because you weren't taking Juice Plus. -There was no accountability on the food plans and she only really looked at them twice. -At one point in the class, she publicly humiliated me in front of the entire rest of the group. When I tried to explain to her how I felt about it, she brushed it off as being a part of boot camp. -She had her favorites in the class and they always received personal attention and guidance, whereas some others, she never even knew their names. -Jenn seemed to focus more on herself during the workouts than how everyone else was doing. I could go on complaining about it, but I won't. In the end, I did lose about 15lbs and lost about 2 inches around my whole body, but it was more in spite of her, than because of her. I do not recommend this camp. Instead, sign up for personal classes with Dan Jett at Evolution Fitness, they will be much more worth your time.

There are so many wonderful things about Jennifer Gray's program, however I don't have all night to sit here writing. I will break it down to the very basics. Jennifer is a ball of energy, making classes fun and always changing things up and keeping up with the current trends. Unlike other trainers, Jennifer is intelligent when it comes to offering effective, alternative exercises for someone with an injury. I had a torn rotator cup, and Jenn gave me alternate exercises to use during class. Now, Jennifer offers various Zumba, Zumbox, and Bootcamp times throughout the morning/day/evening, and flexibility is a key component to my tight schedule. Many of my friends, who are affluent in the Detroit area, and work for various TV and Radio stations, all take her classes and love them. She has been featured on many shows and in many publications, which is how I found her. I have no plans to quit anytime soon :)

This was a nightmare from the start. Jen took forever returning emails but did answer my questions. Too bad she lied to me...I asked for the big and beautiful class ( for new and very overweight) I told I was NOT going to buy this unless she had these classes open. Since I was a little shy to be around people who work out every day and are half my size. She told me "of course!" they were open and not just the regular classes. I also mentioned my health concerns of having a knee replacement and she told me to come in a half hour early the first day to discuss it with the trainer. I also got a email in the afternoon the DAY BEFORE it started stating the location had changed! No phone call no warning! I book this over a month ago so she had time to inform us. The lack of professionalism took a new meaning when I arrived at this new location and the lady at the new location didn't even know their was a bootcamp class there today because Jenn had never contacted her to let her know! Once our trainer showed up a half hour later I asked about my health concerns and he had no idea what to do or how to help. The last straw was when he had us run a around a few blocks in the dark in the stret with no street lights . This wouldn't have been bad but these girls all were in much better shape than me and ran twice as fast. After not seeing another person in sight while running the blocks I was almost hit by a car. I did not know we were going to do this and wore my normal black work out clothes and tried to stick to side of the road. I didn't feel safe and was very shaken up. The trainer didn't know how to answer the questions I asked. His standard response was "call Jenn." She also refuses to give refunds for any reason. This who mess was because of her and she will take NO responsibility!

Jenn won't offer a satisfaction guarantee because she would lose a ton of money! She spends most of her time trying to force feed you a bunch of crap about her miracle supplements that she forgets what she really should be doing...her job! There is no structure, she lacks professionalism and I would never recommend her class to anyone. It's all HYPE! And forget about contacting her...she takes weeks to return calls.
