Photographing people and creating something meaningful from the experience is, quite simply, my passion. Your wedding is the beginning of your family history and I cherish my role as historian. There is no higher honor for me as a photographer than to make pictures that people will love and treasure for generations. I worked as a photojournalist for 16 years, covering a broad range of events from Presidential Inaugurations to Easter Egg hunts, from the Quecreek mine rescue to what’s it like piloting the Goodyear Blimp (I even got to be co-pilot for five minutes!) I’ve had the privilege of photographing the birth of children, and families saying goodbye to their loved ones for the last time. I’ve been named the Pennsylvania Photographer of the Year twice, the Pittsburgh Photographer of the year three times, and have a host of other national awards. Over the last few years I have photographed an amazing range of weddings, mostly for families in Western Pennsylvania and Southeast Michigan. From an intimate affair with twelve guests (everyone fit in a single limo and we drove around Pittsburgh for three hours), to a lavish ceremony with two THOUSAND. I was one of three photographers documenting the Crown Prince of Qatar’s wedding in 2005. Beyond all the fabulous weddings, however, I’ve also been offered/lucked my way into some pretty remarkable opportunities. When Oprah brought her crew and their families to Hawaii, I was one of three invited to photograph the week’s events. Even more recently, I worked with three others to document Jennifer Anniston’s 40th birthday party. This is an amazing profession, and I am fortuante to be a part of som many joyous celebrations.
